Marrakesh

Hi Everyone,
I am posting on Marrakesh tonight. From Snake Charmers, to Monkeys doing tricks, to Guys with dancing chickens on their heads to music, the Jemma al Fna was one wacky place. On Sunday night the place comes alive with thousands of people. Out of nowhere come vendors serving vats of steamed snails, to dates, to music, to you name it they served it. Yes those are real snakes and yes that is a real cobra. They have the funky flute music playing for the cobra to stand up. If I had to listen to that music all day, I would be grumpy like that snake as well!
Enjoy,
Mike

7 Continents in 9 years

I DID IT!!!! Just got back From Morocco, completing my goal set in July of 1999, while doing Hurricane Relief work in Nicaragua with Seattle Pacific University, to reach all 7 continents on one passports. --Woohoo! Though it was more difficult to reach 2 connecting flights to get to Morocco than it was to arrive in Antarctica...more to come...claim with airline pending.
Yes, the guy on the donkey cart is yaking on his cell phone.

Here are a few pictures I just scanned through. None actually mtbing yet, but hope you enjoy.

Happy Mothers Day!...
So Washingtons ski season continues this weekend at Alpental. Mid 40's and 115 inches of snow, what an amazing day. The first sign of earth shown today on the slopes. Moguls had amazing lines. 7 Months of lift assisted Skiing this year...wow!
On the way back, I stoped back at Tiger Mountain to mountain bike. I rode hard on the way up, passing a couple people, and stopped to take pictures on the way down. Autostitch.net program is amazing. The First picture is actually 3 pictures wide and 2 pictures high. I just highlighted the photos and hit stitch, and it stacked the pictures and put them up.

May 2nd-Alpental Ski 1/2 day --12 Mile Tiger Mtn Bike

Hi Everyone,
What an awesome weekend. Spent Friday night a Spring-o-rama with the Royal Rangers (great organization).
(Updated) Alpental is still open for skiing. They had 126 inch base and 196 at the top-yes this May. Forget the rock skis, there are sections open that I couldn't ski last year throughout the whole year and now I can. No bare spots and awesome corn snow. The temp was 58 degrees and nice and warm. The costume contest had the Lesiure Suit comeback, cows, pirates, poncho toting thugs, even a waiter carrying a silver tray, martini glass, with the full tux. What a crazy day. Alpental is open next weekend as well. That would make 7 months of skiing.
Went up Tiger Mountain on my mountain bike. I had to turn around just shy of East Tiger summit due to 3 feet of snow on the road. For those who know this area, it is not that high and it is unusal to see snow in early March, let alone MAY!!!
